# AI Note Taker vs ChatPDF

The clearest difference is monetization model: ChatPDF at free with in-app purchases against AI Note Taker's subscription. ChatPDF also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). AI Note Taker's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 0%) and ratings volume (595 vs 94). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Note Taker sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and ChatPDF sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for AI Note Taker against 4.6 for ChatPDF. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Note Taker has 595 ratings behind it against 94, so its average is the more settled of the two.
