# DelayDrop vs ArticleCast

The clearest difference is ads: DelayDrop at none against ArticleCast's shown. DelayDrop also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). ArticleCast's advantage is ratings volume (32 vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DelayDrop sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and ArticleCast sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DelayDrop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ArticleCast has 32 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

DelayDrop ships an update every 3 weeks, ArticleCast weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
