# DelayDrop vs Better Writing

The clearest difference is update cadence: Better Writing at every 2 days against DelayDrop's every 3 weeks. DelayDrop's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DelayDrop sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Better Writing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DelayDrop ships an update every 3 weeks, Better Writing every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
