# Mister Keyboard vs VimKey

The clearest difference is rating: Mister Keyboard at 4.0 against VimKey's 3.4. Mister Keyboard also leads on ratings volume (86 vs 5). VimKey's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days) and review sentiment (67% vs 55%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mister Keyboard sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and VimKey sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mister Keyboard holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mister Keyboard has 86 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Mister Keyboard's written reviews are positive against 67% of VimKey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mister Keyboard ships an update every 9 days, VimKey every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
