# Mister Keyboard vs VimKey

The clearest difference is rating: Mister Keyboard at 4.0 against VimKey's 3.4. Mister Keyboard also leads on ratings volume (95 vs 5). VimKey's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 54%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs weekly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mister Keyboard sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and VimKey sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mister Keyboard holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mister Keyboard has 95 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Mister Keyboard's written reviews are positive against 67% of VimKey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mister Keyboard ships an update weekly, VimKey every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
