# Hive Logger vs Space Notes

The clearest difference is rating: Hive Logger at 4.7 against Space Notes's 3.7. Hive Logger also leads on ratings volume (24 vs 3). Space Notes's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hive Logger sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and Space Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hive Logger holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hive Logger has 24 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hive Logger ships an update every 2 weeks, Space Notes every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
