# Countdown vs Whenora

The clearest difference is update cadence: Whenora at every 3 weeks against Countdown's every 21 months. Countdown's advantage is iOS requirement (16.1 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.99 per year and Whenora sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown ships an update every 21 months, Whenora every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 10, 2026.
