# Zestr vs PicPet

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PicPet at 90% against Zestr's 11%. PicPet also leads on rating (4.8 vs 2.4) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Zestr's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zestr sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $9.90 per 7 days and PicPet sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PicPet holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PicPet has 1.3K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 11% of Zestr's written reviews are positive against 90% of PicPet's.

Zestr ships an update every 10 days, PicPet weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
