# POOLS™ vs Scream Sheep

The clearest difference is rating: Scream Sheep at 5.0 against POOLS™'s 4.5. Scream Sheep also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 79%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). POOLS™'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. POOLS™ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Scream Sheep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scream Sheep holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: POOLS™ has 1.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of POOLS™'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Scream Sheep's.

POOLS™ ships an update every 2 months, Scream Sheep every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
