# VaultVPN vs GateVPN

The clearest difference is update cadence: VaultVPN at every 6 days against GateVPN's every 11 months. VaultVPN also leads on review sentiment (38% vs 25%). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VaultVPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days and GateVPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GateVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 155 and 280 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of VaultVPN's written reviews are positive against 25% of GateVPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VaultVPN ships an update every 6 days, GateVPN every 11 months. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
