# MethodTV vs iRetrodex

The clearest difference is update cadence: iRetrodex at every 3 days against MethodTV's weekly. MethodTV's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MethodTV sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and iRetrodex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MethodTV ships an update weekly, iRetrodex every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
