# Mindless Labs vs (held)

The clearest difference is monetization model: Mindless Labs at free against (held)'s freemium. Mindless Labs also leads on ratings volume (31 vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindless Labs sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $65.00 per year and (held) sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $22.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Mindless Labs against 5.0 for (held). That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mindless Labs has 31 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
