# Chess Timer vs ClockMate

The clearest difference is ads: ClockMate at none against Chess Timer's shown. ClockMate also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chess Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and ClockMate sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
