# ArtArray vs Hexly

The clearest difference is update cadence: ArtArray at every 11 days against Hexly's every 2 months. ArtArray also leads on ratings volume (18 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ArtArray sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Hexly sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ArtArray against 5.0 for Hexly. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ArtArray has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ArtArray ships an update every 11 days, Hexly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
