# OOKBEE vs MaReads

The clearest difference is review sentiment: OOKBEE at 81% against MaReads's 20%. OOKBEE also leads on rating (4.7 vs 2.8) and ratings volume (249 vs 4). MaReads's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OOKBEE sells 20 one-off in-app purchases and MaReads sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OOKBEE holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OOKBEE has 249 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of OOKBEE's written reviews are positive against 20% of MaReads's.

OOKBEE ships an update every 2 months, MaReads fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
