# Danville Connect vs Rain Bird

The clearest difference is rating: Rain Bird at 4.7 against Danville Connect's 3.0. Rain Bird also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (79K vs 4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rain Bird holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rain Bird has 79K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Danville Connect's written reviews are positive against 31% of Rain Bird's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Danville Connect ships an update every 11 months, Rain Bird every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
