# Weather Widget Magic vs BlipSat

The clearest difference is monetization model: Weather Widget Magic at freemium against BlipSat's subscription. Weather Widget Magic also leads on ratings volume (49 vs 1). BlipSat's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Weather Widget Magic sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and BlipSat sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BlipSat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weather Widget Magic has 49 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Weather Widget Magic ships an update weekly, BlipSat every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
