# Visual Timer for Kids vs Wedge

The clearest difference is update cadence: Wedge at every 2 days against Visual Timer for Kids's fortnightly. Wedge also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Visual Timer for Kids's advantage is ratings volume (182 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Visual Timer for Kids sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Wedge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wedge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Visual Timer for Kids has 182 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Visual Timer for Kids ships an update fortnightly, Wedge every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
