# 美加头条HD vs Soul

The clearest difference is ads: Soul at none against 美加头条HD's shown. Soul also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). 美加头条HD's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 美加头条HD sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Soul sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Soul holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Soul has 10K ratings behind it against 546, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of 美加头条HD's written reviews are positive against 28% of Soul's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

美加头条HD ships an update monthly, Soul weekly. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
