# Great Leader vs Hegemon

The clearest difference is rating: Great Leader at 4.8 against Hegemon's 4.1. Great Leader also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). Hegemon's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 50%) and ratings volume (71 vs 8). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hegemon sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Great Leader asks for nothing beyond the download.

Great Leader holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hegemon has 71 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Great Leader's written reviews are positive against 73% of Hegemon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Great Leader ships an update fortnightly, Hegemon every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
