# Daystar vs Logos

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Daystar at 613 against Logos's 2. Logos's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Logos holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Daystar has 613 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Daystar ships an update every 3 weeks, Logos every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
