# Daystar vs AFA Stream

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Daystar at 614 against AFA Stream's 4. Daystar also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). AFA Stream's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AFA Stream holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Daystar has 614 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
