# SnapToon vs Distant Surveillance

The clearest difference is update cadence: Distant Surveillance at every 2 months against SnapToon's every 5 months. SnapToon's advantage is iOS requirement (6.1 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnapToon sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Distant Surveillance sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SnapToon ships an update every 5 months, Distant Surveillance every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 4, 2026.
