# Appaloo Equestrian vs HRE

The clearest difference is ads: HRE at none against Appaloo Equestrian's shown. HRE also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Appaloo Equestrian's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0.0 vs 17.5). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Appaloo Equestrian sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.90 per month and HRE sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Appaloo Equestrian ships an update every 3 months, HRE every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
