# Janitor vs motonovel

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Janitor at 61% against motonovel's 6%. Janitor also leads on rating (4.5 vs 1.3) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). motonovel's advantage is iOS requirement (13 vs 15.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Janitor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and motonovel sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Janitor holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Janitor has 5.7K ratings behind it against 154, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Janitor's written reviews are positive against 6% of motonovel's.

Janitor ships an update every 2 weeks, motonovel fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
