# Subscription Manager vs SubAhead

The clearest difference is update cadence: Subscription Manager at every 10 days against SubAhead's every 6 months. Subscription Manager also leads on ratings volume (128 vs 2) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Subscription Manager sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and SubAhead sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Subscription Manager holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Subscription Manager has 128 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Subscription Manager ships an update every 10 days, SubAhead every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
