# Unlock vs DPCloud

The clearest difference is ads: DPCloud at none against Unlock's shown. DPCloud also leads on review sentiment (86% vs 58%) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). Unlock's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (3.4K vs 6). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Unlock sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and DPCloud sells 42 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DPCloud holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unlock has 3.4K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Unlock's written reviews are positive against 86% of DPCloud's.

Unlock ships an update every 6 days, DPCloud every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
