# Folded Notes vs Simple Planner

The clearest difference is ads: Folded Notes at none against Simple Planner's shown. Folded Notes also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). Simple Planner's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Folded Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Simple Planner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
