# Folded Notes vs Cogito

The clearest difference is device support: Folded Notes at 4 against Cogito's 1. Folded Notes also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Folded Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cogito sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
