# Sharelight vs FutureNote

The clearest difference is ads: FutureNote at none against Sharelight's shown. FutureNote also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). Sharelight's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sharelight sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and FutureNote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sharelight holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FutureNote has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sharelight ships an update every 4 months, FutureNote weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
