# BlackWolfVPN vs CST Pulse

The clearest difference is monetization model: CST Pulse at freemium against BlackWolfVPN's subscription. CST Pulse also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 3 weeks). BlackWolfVPN's advantage is iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlackWolfVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and CST Pulse sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
