# Poster vs Mappx

The clearest difference is ads: Poster at none against Mappx's shown. Mappx's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Poster sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Mappx sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Poster ships an update every 5 weeks, Mappx every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
