# Security Home vs YI Home +

The clearest difference is rating: Security Home at 4.3 against YI Home +'s 3.4. Security Home also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (11K vs 153). YI Home +'s advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Security Home sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and YI Home + sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Security Home holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Security Home has 11K ratings behind it against 153, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 19% of Security Home's written reviews are positive against 6% of YI Home +'s.

Security Home ships an update every 3 months, YI Home + fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
