# Security Home vs FindCamera

The clearest difference is monetization model: FindCamera at free with in-app purchases against Security Home's subscription. FindCamera also leads on review sentiment (33% vs 19%). Security Home's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 348). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Security Home sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and FindCamera sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Security Home against 4.2 for FindCamera. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Security Home has 11K ratings behind it against 348, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 19% of Security Home's written reviews are positive against 33% of FindCamera's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
