# Hot Player vs IPTV Plus

The clearest difference is rating: IPTV Plus at 4.5 against Hot Player's 3.9. IPTV Plus also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (201 vs 13). Hot Player's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (39% vs 21%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hot Player sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per year and IPTV Plus sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IPTV Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Plus has 201 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Hot Player's written reviews are positive against 21% of IPTV Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hot Player ships an update every 3 months, IPTV Plus every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
