# Dates vs As a List

The clearest difference is ads: As a List at none against Dates's shown. Dates's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 11 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dates sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and As a List sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dates ships an update every 3 days, As a List every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
