# Maths Dash vs Explanova

The clearest difference is monetization model: Explanova at free with in-app purchases against Maths Dash's subscription. Explanova also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Maths Dash sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Explanova sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $99.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Maths Dash ships an update every 2 weeks, Explanova every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
