# Speed9 vs PoolPals

The clearest difference is update cadence: PoolPals at every 3 weeks against Speed9's every 4 months. Speed9's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speed9 sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and PoolPals sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speed9 ships an update every 4 months, PoolPals every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
