# Vocal Remover vs Dubsy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Dubsy at free with in-app purchases against Vocal Remover's subscription. Dubsy also leads on review sentiment (71% vs 35%). Vocal Remover's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 87). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vocal Remover sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Dubsy sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Vocal Remover against 4.5 for Dubsy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vocal Remover has 1.5K ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 35% of Vocal Remover's written reviews are positive against 71% of Dubsy's.

Vocal Remover ships an update weekly, Dubsy every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
