# Sun8 vs VPN

The clearest difference is rating: VPN at 5.0 against Sun8's 4.5. VPN also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). Sun8's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sun8 sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 2 respectively.

Sun8 ships an update every 2 months, VPN every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
