# ShinePhone vs XMEye

The clearest difference is rating: XMEye at 3.0 against ShinePhone's 2.4. XMEye also leads on ratings volume (887 vs 170) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). ShinePhone's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

XMEye holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XMEye has 887 ratings behind it against 170, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of ShinePhone's written reviews are positive against 11% of XMEye's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ShinePhone ships an update weekly, XMEye every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
