# Peepkey vs MapIt

The clearest difference is ads: Peepkey at none against MapIt's shown. Peepkey also leads on review sentiment (81% vs 50%). MapIt's advantage is ratings volume (179 vs 13). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Peepkey sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and MapIt sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Peepkey against 4.1 for MapIt. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MapIt has 179 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 81% of Peepkey's written reviews are positive against 50% of MapIt's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
