# BonChat vs Lagi New

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lagi New at 100% against BonChat's 56%. Lagi New also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). BonChat's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (60K vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BonChat holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BonChat has 60K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of BonChat's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lagi New's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BonChat ships an update every 4 weeks, Lagi New weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
