# NoteGen vs Scrollnote

The clearest difference is ads: Scrollnote at none against NoteGen's shown. Scrollnote also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 76%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). NoteGen's advantage is ratings volume (474 vs 6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteGen sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Scrollnote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scrollnote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NoteGen has 474 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 76% of NoteGen's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scrollnote's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
