# Fox Writer vs EncryptaNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: EncryptaNote at every 2 days against Fox Writer's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fox Writer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and EncryptaNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fox Writer ships an update monthly, EncryptaNote every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
