# Utter vs Check/In

The clearest difference is update cadence: Check/In at every 9 days against Utter's every 4 months. Check/In also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Utter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Check/In sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Utter ships an update every 4 months, Check/In every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
