# Image Size vs Image Resizer

The clearest difference is ads: Image Resizer at none against Image Size's shown. Image Resizer also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Image Size's advantage is ratings volume (30K vs 209) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Image Size sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Image Resizer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.59 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Image Size holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Image Size has 30K ratings behind it against 209, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Image Size's written reviews are positive against 76% of Image Resizer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
