# 16 vs Intermittent Fasting

The clearest difference is ads: 16 at none against Intermittent Fasting's shown. 16 also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (54 vs 6). Intermittent Fasting's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 16 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Intermittent Fasting sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Intermittent Fasting holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 16 has 54 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

16 ships an update every 9 days, Intermittent Fasting every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
