# Speed vs Nap Whist

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Speed at none against Nap Whist's 1. Speed also leads on ratings volume (64 vs 2). Nap Whist's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nap Whist sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Speed asks for nothing beyond the download.

Nap Whist holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speed has 64 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Speed's written reviews are positive against 33% of Nap Whist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Speed ships an update every 3 months, Nap Whist every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
