# Speed vs SPEED

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Speed at none against SPEED's 11. SPEED's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SPEED sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Speed asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Speed against 4.6 for SPEED. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SPEED has 2.1K ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 40% of Speed's written reviews are positive against 35% of SPEED's.

Speed ships an update every 3 months, SPEED weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
